Cadbury is finally set to ditch Schweppes after hiring investment bankers Goldman Sachs to find a buyer for its European soft drinks business.
It owns the rights to Schweppes - invented by a Swiss chemist in 1783 - there after selling the British rights to Coca-Cola in the 1990s.
The company is expected to revert to the Cadbury name used before the merger with Schweppes in 1969.
