Eagle Technology chief executive Gary Langford, whose company has co-sponsored the young executive of the year award since 2005, is looking forward to meeting the finalists and seeing who will win the Deloitte Top 200 Business Awards this month.
"In these last 10 years, we've enjoyed meeting a parade of outstanding young business people who excel in their professional careers," Langford said. "Over and again, we hear candidates at both regional and national level tell us that regardless of the outcome, there is huge personal value in the nomination process."
This is the 25th year of the awards, which will be co-hosted by NZME. and Deloitte on November 27. The awards showcase the top 200 New Zealand companies by revenue, as well as presenting nine awards including company, chief executive and chair of the year.
Business commentator and awards convener Fran O'Sullivan said the awards were seen as a highlight in the business calendar. "For the business sector it's very important," she said.
The event will be at Vector Arena in Auckland with more than 800 guests registered so far.
