1. The Supreme Court is today due to begin hearing a case between major New Zealand building manufacturer Carter Holt Harvey and the state's Ministry of Education. This is over issues with weathertightness at 880 school buildings at more than 300 schools, clad in Carter Holt's Shadowclad. The case will be heard in Wellington.
2. The New Zealand Wind Energy Association's annual conference begins this morning and Energy and Resources Minister Simon Bridges is due to speak there. The conference is on at Rydges Hotel, Featherston St, Wellington. Climate change, technical issues and industry overviews are other topics on the agenda.
3. From China, data is due out on the trade balance, imports and exports. That is part of a multitude of Chinese economic data due out this week and the world's eyes are on that country and its economic performance.
4. What's happening with the price of food? Will escalating fresh fruit and vegetable product prices show up in the latest data? Statistics NZ puts out the food price index this morning. Food prices fell 0.6 percent in February, but after after seasonal adjustment, they prices rose 0.2 percent.
