Blis Technologies hopes another five products will follow its Blis K 12 Throat Guard on to the market.
Chairman Murray Doyle told the annual meeting in Dunedin yesterday turnover from Blis K had exceeded expectations.
The product had considerable international potential and the company hoped to release it in Germany and Britain. It was working on registering it in Australia and finding distributors in the US, France, Japan and China.
Doyle said Blis was not a one-product company but had potential for a suite of products based on utilising protective beneficial bacteria to prevent disease. Other products in development include a product to help prevent tooth decay, a product combining oral and intestinal beneficial bacteria for use after antibiotics, and a companion remedy product to the preventative Throat Guard.
Work also continued on products for bovine mastitis and middle-ear infections.
