ZURICH - Sales at Swiss drugmaker Roche rose 20 per cent in the third quarter to 10.478 billion Swiss francs ($12.65 billion), due to strong demand for cancer drugs and Tamiflu.
Roche is the world's biggest maker of cancer medicines with a range of products including Herceptin, Avastin, MabThera and Xeloda. It also makes the antiviral Tamiflu, demand for which has soared due to the spread of bird flu.
