Bertarelli puts $18b price tag on company

America's Cup defender Ernesto Bertarelli has put Europe's largest biotech company up for sale with a price tag of about $18 billion.

The chief executive of Switzerland-based Serono could net more than $13 billion for his family's stake if the company generates an auction among the world's pharmaceuticals giants.
