Beefy issue for US Exports

South Korea and the US will stretch out talks for an extra day on resuming imports of American beef to South Korea, once the third-largest overseas market for the meat, officials say.

South Korea has been under pressure from Washington to lift the ban imposed in December 2003 after the first US case of mad cow disease was discovered.
