SYDNEY - Australian new motor vehicle sales fell 0.1 per cent in February in seasonally adjusted terms, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said on Tuesday.
In February, 85,517 vehicles were sold, compared with January sales of 85,579. Sales rose 0.8 per cent in trend terms.
On March 3, the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries reported that February sales rose by an unadjusted 16.5 per cent.
The ABS bases its report on the Chamber's industry sales data.
