Australian millionaires rise by 30%

The number of Australian millionaires rose by more than 30 per cent last year, climbing above the level recorded before the financial crisis hit, the Australian Financial Review said, citing a report by Capgemini and Merrill Lynch.

Some 174,000 millionaires had a combined wealth of US$519 billion, up from US$380 billion in 2008, the newspaper said.
