The world's most popular internet television service - Netflix - is set to screen Australian content in its programming when it launches here next month.
The network caters to more than 57 million people in about 50 countries and last year announced it would be officially available to those in Australia and New Zealand.
In its latest announcement, Netflix - in association with Australia's Beyond Distribution - yesterday revealed several Australian programmes to be included exclusively to the local Australian and New Zealand Netflix service.
Among the programmes are stand-up comedian shows: Carl Barron: A One Ended Stick, Arj Barker: Harvest, Kitty Flanagan: Hello Kitty, Jimeoin: Something Smells Funny and Umbilical Brothers: The Rehearsal.
There will also be a number of children's shows from Australia, such as favourites: H20 Just Add Water and the first season of Mako Mermaids.
