Australian wine is emerging as a major player in the US domestic market, the New York Times reports. Sales of Australian wine reached US$600 million ($936 million) last year, second only to Italy among imported wine sales in the US. "Australia is now the largest New World wine exporter, surpassing Argentina, Chile, South Africa and the United States," the paper reported.
