PARKING
Civic car park closed from midnight Thursday to 7am Tuesday September 14. All Wilson Parking buildings will be open, but operating on a skeleton staff. Access to parking buildings along the secure route (see D5) will be very difficult from Saturday to Monday September 13.
Street parking: Only accredited vehicles allowed to park on closed roads - others will be towed. Vehicles parked on routes to and from the airport may have to be removed if directed by police.
BUSES
Stagecoach buses operating as normal, except some school services next Monday. Some stops will be moved - information will be posted at the usual stops and on the buses themselves. More information: phone Rideline, 366-6400.
SHOPS
Central city shops open as usual. Closed streets will still be open to pedestrians, except outside some Apec venues and hotels. The High St area will open from 10am to midnight this Saturday and Sunday.
TAXIS
Operating as usual, but expect delays due to road closures and traffic congestion.
AOTEA CENTRE
Closed to the public; re-opens next Tuesday.
MAIL
Expect disruptions. Central city Post Shops open as usual, but some post boxes in the city and along the airport route will be sealed from midnight tonight until midnight next Tuesday. Couriers in the central city will also be restricted. More information: NZ Post's web site, at www.nzpost.co.nz.
RUBBISH
Central city businesses on closed roads requested not to put out rubbish bags between 6am and 11pm from Friday through to next Monday. Special collections will be made after 11pm, but businesses will be encouraged to stockpile rubbish or take it to drop-off points.
AIRPORT
Auckland Airport open as usual. Allow extra time to get to and from the airport as access roads will be closed at times.
COURTS
Court offices open as usual on weekdays. No jury trials at Auckland District Court, other than applications and call-overs, until Monday September 20. No civil, disputes, tenancy or family court hearings on Monday September 13. Urgent family court applications will be directed to North Shore Court.
The Registrar's list and custody court, and hearings which do not involve police prosecution, will operate as usual.
No criminal jury trials at High Court until Monday September 20.
No applications before the duty judge scheduled on Friday or Monday September 13, but a duty judge will be available for urgent applications.
No conferences will be listed before the Masters on Friday and Monday September 13.
LIBRARIES
Open as usual.
THE PORT
Open as usual, although road closures will affect shipping and trucking companies.
FERRIES
Fullers will be using every vessel available, in case of greater demand for ferries between Friday and next Tuesday. Larger vessels will be used on popular routes and a back-up craft will be available in case of break-downs.
MOVIES
The Force Entertainment Centre on Queen St will operate as normal.
MUSEUM
Auckland Museum closes at 5pm on Saturday, reopening at 9am next Tuesday 14 September.
THE DOMAIN
Closes at 6pm on Saturday, reopening at 6pm next Monday.
UNIVERSITY
Libraries closed on Saturday. They will open for the usual times on Sunday, but will not open until 10am on Monday.
CHURCHES
Usual services at St Matthew-in-the-City; St Patricks will have some additional services.
SKY CITY
The casino and Sky Tower will be open as usual.
DRAINS
Property developers requested not to try to connect drains and sewers. Emergency work will have to be authorised by police and carried out under their supervision.
