At a LINK Australasia Conference held in Auckland, brokers from the LINK Auckland Ellerslie office picked up 60 per cent of the 2010 performance awards for brokers across New Zealand and Australia. Awards went to Nick Stevens, broker of the year award for his outstanding contribution and professionalism; Greg Mullins, salesperson of the year as the highest individual fee earner; and Bruce Cattell, deal of the year for the highest single fee earned for any business sale.
Hastings bulk retail
A 3080sq m bulk retail premises on a 3640sq m site at 200 Market St North, Hastings, was sold for $3.55 million at an 11 per cent yield by Peter Nikolov and Erin Palmer of Bayleys Auckland. The property has a 15-year lease to Farmers that expires in November 2010 with no right of renewal.
Whakatu office complex
In Whakatu, Hastings, a 3197sq m office complex at the corner of Anderson and Station Rds, and on a 1.249ha site having surplus land for further development, was sold for $2.065 million at a 9.1 per cent yield on 24 tenancies by Eoin Carty and Steve Glasspole of Bayleys Hamilton.
Bishopgate cafe's unit
Nicolas Ching of Bayleys Auckland sold for $720,000 Unit J10 at 2 Bishop Browne Place, Botany, comprising a 148sq m retail outlet in the Bishopgate business centre at Botany South, with the sale representing a 7.5 per cent yield. The unit is occupied by the Coffee Bean cafe on a new five year lease with a right of renewal for 10 years.
Rotorua gym goes to Golds
A 915sq m gymnasium, leased to Golds Gym for eight years from December 2006, on a 2481sq m site at 100 Old Taupo Rd, Rotorua, was sold to the tenant for $1.025 million at an 8.1 per cent yield by Wayne Nissen of Bayleys Rotorua.
Older Manukau warehouse
John and Ash Bolton of Bayleys Manukau have sold an older-style 1000sq m warehouse and office building at 4/141 Kerrs Road, Manukau, for $765,000 at a 9.1 per cent yield on a short term lease.
