Renaissance says it does not expect a significant impact on its business from Apple's decision to appoint an additional distributor for its range in this country.
The decision did not affect the relationship between Apple and Renaissance, and the distribution agreement between Apple and Renaissance continued unchanged.
"We have not been an exclusive distributor for Apple since 2006, so we do not expect this latest development to significantly impact on our business," Renaissance chief executive Richard Webb said.
Renaissance's profitable diversification and its plans reflected how well-positioned it was for the new plans Apple had to harmonise its distribution strategy in New Zealand.
