ACC has appointed Ralph Stewart as its new chief executive, replacing Dr Jan White who announced her resignation earlier this year.
Stewart is currently chief executive of AXA, has been deputy chair of the Investment Savings and Insurance Association and a director of AMP New Zealand.
ACC Chairman John Judge said with the pending national election, the ACC Board agreed to appoint a new chief executive earlier than first announced.
Judge acknowledged the excellent contribution White had made to the organisation, particularly over the last two years which had seen ACC's performance improve significantly.
