The latest figures from ridesharing company Uber claim that 300,000 Kiwis are using the app for rides.
Uber, which has been available in New Zealand for three years, also claims to have more than 4000 driver-partners on the ground in our cities. Uber is available in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.
The company also announced a new rewards programme for drivers, Momentum, which they say will help drivers save money on the costs of running their business, and "reward their hard work."
Uber also claims to have made a societal contribution with a study saying that seven in 10 riders say that "Uber has helped them personally avoid drink driving."
