A $2 million refurbishment of suites and rooms at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour has been completed.
The hotel - previously branded as Westin - is at 21 Viaduct Harbour Ave on the waterfront, between the Viaduct Harbour and the Wynyard Quarter.
Many of the rooms look across the water towards the CBD.
Wouter de Graaf, Sofitel New Zealand area general manager, said his business had worked with local interior designer Space Studio. The project resulted in all guest rooms being changed.
Vee Kessner, Space Studio creative director, described the result: "Our aim was for a more feminine look and a colour palette that drew its tonal cues from the French heritage of the brand. We wanted to add elements of luxury along with aspects of our modern Kiwi aesthetic."
