Lana Andelane is an Auckland-based Entertainment and Lifestyle Multimedia Journalist (Audience) for the New Zealand Herald.
Lana started at the Herald in 2024 after working for five years at Newshub. She began her career as a Digital News Reporter, covering local and world events including the COVID-19 pandemic, the White Island eruption, and the NZ and US elections. She then became Newshub's Lifestyle Editor, a role that opened up amazing opportunities - from driving Land Rovers in Abu Dhabi to reviewing a cruise off the coast of Florida. She remained at Newshub until its closure in 2024. As a writer, Lana is passionate about all things fashion, beauty and pop culture. A keen music fan, she also enjoys reviewing a rock gig and interviewing the odd musician or two. Lana can be found wearing impractical footwear and far too much eyeliner. For anything lifestyle and entertainment related, please email lana.andelane@nzme.co.nz.
