Ten signs have been stolen from Avondale Central Reserve children's Learn-to-Ride Track.
The track is designed to help children learn cycling road rules.
The signs are smaller than normal road signs, at 300mm x 300mm. The stolen signs depict 'give way', 'stop', 'pedestrian crossing ahead' and traffic lights.
Whau Local Board chair Catherine Farmer says it is very disappointing that this has happened.
"Our board provided funding for the signs and the track to give children a safe area to learn and play, and to help activate the Avondale town centre. It is upsetting that this work has been undone by the theft of these signs."
