Aucklander Nick Cassidy has won the 2015 Japanese F3 Championship by winning the last two races at Sugo over the weekend.
Double Toyota Racing Series champion and triple New Zealand Grand Prix winner had a perfect weekend, qualifying on pole position for both races and leading from start to finish, ending the season a comfortable 16 points in front of Petronas Team TOM's team-mate Kenta Yamashita.
The pair started the final of the eight rounds equal on points.
"Mega. Super proud of our performance this weekend," said Cassidy. "Two poles, two wins and two fastest laps! The team at TOM'S Racing has done an amazing job all year."
Cassidy said he had the greatest respect for ?Yamashita who had pushed him all the way. "He's a great driver and team mate."
Cassidy finished Saturday's 25 lap race over eight seconds in front of Lucas Ordonez with Nireri Fukuzumi third and Yamashita fourth.
