Reading Cinemas said tickets will be available online in the next couple of days and customers will be able to sign up to its Reel Club loyalty programme once the cinema is open.
Reaction to the news on Facebook was positive.
"You guys rock, $10bux. Like it was in the old days," said Peter Rees.
Sione-Marie Edwards- Sio said it was good to support a New Zealand owned cinema/mall.
"This is awesome and great music to my ears. Now I can say to my kids, 'Hey anyone keen to go movies?' "
Not everyone was happy with the news, Arda Ray expressed disappointment at pre-purchasing tickets for Event Cinemas in Henderson.
"Grump. I pre-purchased Star Wars tickets for Henderson already. Grump. Grump!"
Reading Cinemas had some tongue-in-cheek advice:
"We look forward to welcoming you once you're done on the dark side, Arda Ray."
The dining and entertainment precinct officially opened on November 5 with chef Ray McVinnie ringing a brass lunch bell to mark the occasion.
The Brickworks - a tree-lined lane featuring a range of restaurants - has been packed with customers since opening.
Wagamama officially opened today with Shaky Isles is due to open soon.
