A leading New Zealand expert on links between diet and cancers will speak at the Auckland Cancer Society's next meeting on May 4.
Professor Lynnette Ferguson will address the meeting on the topic of "Genes, Diet and Breast Cancer". All are welcome to attend.
Breast Cancer Network administrator Heather Stonestreet says the role nutrition plays in prevention and causes of cancer are an ongoing concern.
"This meeting will be of interest to women who have experienced breast cancer themselves, and to both men and women who have experienced breast cancer in their family."
Professor Lynnette Ferguson is the head of the Nurition Department at the University of Auckland.
Breast Cancer Network is a New Zealand wide, grassroots group for women with breast cancer and their supporters.
Publishers of Upfront U Kaiora magazine, the network also works for increased efforts to reduce the incidence of breast cancer in New Zealand.
