Dear Sir
It is very sad that after three years of the government's aerial spraying for the Painted Apple Moth the Council now wants to aerial spray Roundup over the Bethells wetlands. Surely the people of west Auckland have suffered enough. We have one of the most chemically dependent councils in the country. Not content to regularly dose our streets and parks with Roundup they now want to aerially spray with it as well. I have heard that one of the main reasons for getting rid of the crack willow is to enable access for kayakers, in the meantime sacrificing the health of residents, visitors and the environment. I wonder what effect thespraying will have on the rare NZ dotterels returning to breed at Bethells? Regards
R Brown Henderson
