Julian Dean has not given up hope of making his fifth Olympic games.
Talking exclusively to The Daily Post today, Dean said he was working hard towards the Olympic road race on August 1.
In tomorrow's paper Dean reveals his plans to make the games as well as his rehabilitation and the speculation about Bike NZ's comments he would have to ride the Tour de France if he wanted to be considered.
The 37-year-old was a leading contender for the New Zealand road cycling team prior to his horrific crash at the Tour of Catalunya, Spain in March.
Dean is currently undergoing rehabilitation on his leg in Spain while trying to get fit to ride for his GreenEdge team for the Tour de France.
