Rotorua United will try to re-capture some of their best form this season when they travel to Papamoa in the WaiBOP Premiership.

United suffered a shock 2-1 loss to bottom-of-the-table Tauranga Boys' College last weekend. It was their second loss on the trot and they will, no doubt, be looking for an improved performance this weekend.

United - who have a record of five wins, one draw and eight losses this season - will play away against Papamoa tomorrow, in a match that could see them climb into the top half of the table with a victory.

Rotorua United will be without their captain Lawrie Scott, who is nursing the leg injury he picked up playing against Ngongotaha a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Ngongotaha will travel to Matamata tomorrow to take on the Swifts.

Ngongotaha are in a strong position with nine games left to play, but will feel they cannot afford to drop any points this weekend.

The Villagers are five points behind league-leaders Cambridge but have two games in hand.

Cambridge have a tough game this weekend, hosting third-placed Melville United.

If Melville can win or draw the match at John Kerkhof Park they will do Ngongotaha a big favour.

Premiership points: Cambridge 37, Ngongotaha 32, Melville United 30, Papamoa 22, Tauranga Old Blues 22, Waikato Unicol 17, Rotorua United 16, Matamata 16, Katikati 16, Otumoetai 13, Tauranga City 10, Tauranga Boys' College 8.
