Taupo cyclist Patrick Bevin has finished safely in the peloton to claim the sprint points honours in the An Post Ras Tour of Ireland today.
New Zealand teammates Cameron Karwowski and Hamish Schreurs worked hard to ensure Bevin was well placed for the points on offer on the final stage this morning.
Bevin worked his way to the leading group in the peloton, riding to the finish to protect his green jersey, which was a reward for eight days of hard work.
The Commonwealth Games rider won two stages during the tour while the support team worked above and beyond after losing Marc Ryan and Liam Aitcheson to illness.
Yellow jersey leader Clemens Fankhauser (Austria) finished in the main bunch to be crowned this year's champion.
