New captain Jason Trembath said they had three new players from Counties Manukau and the United Kingdom coming in to boost the ranks.
"We have two players joining us from Counties Manukau who have just finished a season in the United Kingdom," he said.
They had another talented youngster joining them from the United Kingdom and an experienced batsman returning after a couple of years away.
"I guess our focus this weekend is to shake a bit of the rust off," he said.
"And with these three new guys filling in at the top of the order it gives them a chance to bat some overs."
Trembath said they had a good rivalry with Cadets, so it should be a great match to start the season.
Meanwhile, "development" seems to be the focus for the Indians, who have a similar squad to last season.
Indians captain Prashant Dhanjee said they were growing in confidence each season and felt they were becoming more competitive in the top division.
"We are continuing on our road to development," he said.
"Each year we have been getting better ... we have become quite competitive so we just want to turn that into consistency and results."
The Indians finished last in the Bay Cup last year but showed signs of good cricket during the season.
They will be led by star batsman Bharat Popli during tomorrow's encounter.
"The Mount is always a tough team but we have had some good games against them. We have never beaten them but feel like we can take them," Dhanjee said.
In other matches, Te Puke host Greerton and Tauranga Boys' College host Whakatane.
