Te Puke and Mount Maunganui will meet at the Bay Oval on Friday to decide the 2016 Williams Cup.
The Williams Cup-the top prize in Baywide premier cricket - semifinals were meant to be played over the weekend but rain caused havoc in one match.
In the major semifinal on Saturday, Mount Maunganui lost to Te Puke, meaning Te Puke earned a direct spot in the grand final.
Mount Maunganui were scheduled to play the winner of the minor semifinal which was also played on Saturday between Otumoetai Cadets and Greerton. Unfortunately, after a short start to the game, the minor semifinal was rained out. Otumoetai Cadets and Greerton are now both out of the title race because a result was not reached, meaning Mount Maunganui controversially take the other spot in Friday's final.
