"It was one of the best displays of the season," he said.
"This is one of the biggest clashes for us and on the day it was down to dominant forward play which got us the crucial result.
"Our tackling was excellent and it was a real team performance. I'm very proud of them all.
"We stepped it up in the second half. Pikiao could have come back at the end but we stayed strong and we can take a lot of the back of this win."
Standout performances included Ngongotaha's Blake Nahu at fullback due to his excellent distribution and Seibouma after his clinical finishing.
And James Fillipo, Tai Pelesasa and Joe Nuku also had excellent games.
Taylor said his side were much improved since their 52-26 defeat in the reverse fixture and was confident for the final four rounds of this season's Waicoabay Premiership.
"We have been working really hard and it shows on the pitch," he said.
"The team is stronger mentally and we want to take this positivity into the end of this competition.
"I want to see the team back it up with another win."
Ngongotaha will next weekend look to take their growing confidence into their home clash against Taupo Phoenix whilst Pikiao will look to bounce back away to Otumoetai Eels.
