A doggy daycare assistant job that attracted 4200 views on Trade Me and attracted countless applications has been snagged by Brya McNicholas.
It comes as the latest quarterly figures from Trade Me - to September - show there has been a 5.2 per cent increase year-on-year for job listings in the city alongside a 4.2 per cent jump in salaries over the same timeframes.
The vacancy posted by Rotorua's Grange Spa K9 Resort in August received an overwhelming response and had to be pulled down from the site, manager Kate Teao said.
She interviewed 12 contenders and said her inbox was clogged up for a month.
But the business, which also has a branch in Tauranga, is used to fielding massive amounts of inquiries when searching for staff.
