A woman in a critical condition has been taken to Rotorua Hospital from John Paul College this afternoon.

A St John spokesman said the notification came through at 2.51pm, and two ambulances were sent.

"Ambulance staff transported the woman to Rotorua Hospital Emergency Department in a critical condition. I have no other information."

More to come.
