The Rotorua based Bay Trust Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Lake Rotoma township just after midnight today to attend a 60-year-old woman experiencing chest pains.
The local Rotoma Fire Brigade were first on scene and set up a landing zone for the helicopter.
The woman was treated by the helicopter crew's advanced paramedic and then airlifted to
Rotorua Hospital for further treatment.
