By the end of today Rotorua should know who will lead the city for the next three years.
Today is the final day of elections for the Rotorua mayoralty, Rotorua District Council, Lakes District Health Board, Rotorua Lakes Community Board and Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
An election progress report is due out this afternoon, with a preliminary result due tomorrow.
It will be then that Rotorua finds out if either Janine Bosma, Steve Chadwick, Rob Kent, Helen Hindmarsh or Kevin Winters will hold the mayoral chains for the next three-year term.
The city will also find out who its 12 district councillors will be.
