Celebrating whanau and raising awareness about domestic violence is what this weekend's all about.
Tomorrow a Celebrate Whanau Day and Bike Ride will be held at the Village Green to raise awareness about White Ribbon Month, a month where people rally to show they do not condone violence towards women.
Safer Families Rotorua's Kiti Ransfield-King said the event was a community-driven day designed to engage people and spread messages about respecting women and children.
"We're all bound to have family, friends or know someone affected by it [domestic violence] and it has a ripple effect in the community.
"The day is a celebration of what we can be as whanau and is about the community showing their support to help eliminate domestic violence in the area."
