Friday Mar 4-Wed Mar 9: Hotel, a Rotorua Festival of Arts production. What if these walls could speak? This was the question posed by Paul McLaughlin and Martyn Roberts of a hotel suite in Brisbane, Australia. While on tour, the two practitioners conceived the idea of creating a site-specific show to be performed in a luxury hotel suite. The show is at the Princes Gate Hotel with performances at 6.30pm and 8pm each day. Tickets are $35 for adults from Ticketmaster.
Friday Mar 4: Cook Islands mini dance competition. Fundraising for the umu pit project and celebration of Children's Day. Prizes for all contestants. There are three categories, including a World Rugby Cup theme catwalk. Runs from 6 to 9pm at Cook Islands Community Hall, 101a Clayton Rd. Saturday Mar 5: The Ngongotaha Soccer Club is having a 12-hour soccer match to show support and raise money for Christchurch from 7am to 7pm. It is open to all players from all clubs and all levels including men, women, children and social players. Come along and play or watch. Saturday Mar 5 - Sunday Mar 6: The Bubbles and Mustard Show. Join our tour around the sound studio where the greatest radio show ever to hit the airwaves is recorded. Sunday Mar 6: Kingsgate Hotel Off Road Half Marathon. Make sure you are part of this outstanding event through the Whakarewarewa Forest which also includes a 10km fun run and Little Devils run for children aged 3 to 10. The main event is a two lap course of scenic trails and smooth gravel forest roads. and starts and finishes at the Waipa Mill Recreation area adjacent to the Mountainbike carpark.
