From fairies on stilts to men in tights to people dressed as cupcakes - last night's Pink Walk had something for everyone.
The annual 3.5km walk through the city, now in its sixth year, is the major fundraiser for the Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust. Last night about 2000 men, women and children turned the Village Green into a laughing, hugging, smiling, chatting sea of pink.
For some the event had added significance - many walkers had either suffered from breast cancer themselves or knew someone who had.
One of those was Rotorua breast cancer survivor Desiree Klomp, who was doing the walk for the fourth time with friends and family.
