State Highway 2 in the Waimana Gorge has reopened following a slip that covered the road.
The road was closed to traffic yesterday following the slip between Fraser and Stanley Rds, a Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency statement said.
It was restricted to one lane overnight before reopening fully today.
Contractors remained on-site overnight to monitor the slip and no further rockfall was observed.
