More than 50 kids from Waikite Valley School rode or brought their bikes to school for Go By Bike day last Friday.
There were races for all ages and a trail ride for fun. First place in the races for year 7-8 was Reg Vanner, first place for year5-6 was Michael Stephens, first place for year 3-4 was Taylor Cathcart and for year 1-2 Charlotte Hornby.
Lots of people dressed up their bike for the best dressed bike competition. After a free sausage for lunch everybody was having fun even if they weren't riding their bike. By the end of lunch time most of the people in the school were riding their bikes. At the end of the day everyone went home with a smile.
