Vehicle crashes into power pole in Rotorua

A three-car crash resulted in vehicles "embedded in each other", with one hitting a power pole.

Police were called to the crash on Fairy Springs Rd about 1.59pm, a spokeswoman said.

No one was injured.

The crash was outside Skyline Rotorua and the northbound lane was blocked.

A tow truck was called to remove to remove the fallen pole blocking the road at 2:15pm.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager Mau Barbara said the accident involved three cars and one took out a light pole.

He said no one was trapped, and the brigade helped the police with scene protection.

He said one lane had been fully blocked, and the cars were "embedded in each other".

Yesterday a ute crashed into a power pole on Clayton Rd, splitting it in half and closing the road for several hours.
