A 6-year-old boy seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Rotorua last night has been transferred to Auckland's Starship Hospital.
The boy was in a critical condition when the ambulance arrived at the scene on Ranolf St near the Grey St intersection about 5.35pm yesterday, a northern ambulance communications spokesman said.
He was initially taken to Rotorua Hospital but was transferred to Starship last night.
An Auckland District Health Board spokesman said the boy was in a stable condition in a pediatric intensive care ward this morning.
