A key highway route between Rotorua and Auckland affected by a crash has now re-opened.
State Highway 27 was closed due to a crash between Torehape East Rd and Kaihere Rd. Road users were advised to follow the detour along these roads and allow an extra 20-30 mins for their journey in this area.
The road was initially expected to remain closed for about 3 hours but has reopened early.
