A trial date has been set for the man alleged to be at the centre of an armed stand-off with police at Onepu near Kawerau earlier this year.
Rhys Richard Ngahiwi Warren, 27, of Coastlands, represented himself via video link in the High Court at Rotorua this morning.
His trial date was set for March 6, 2017 - three days to the anniversary of when he allegedly shot four police officers.
Warren was remanded back in custody until that date.
Warren faces four charges of using a firearm against four police officers on March 9.
