A tree through a high voltage line cut power to almost 1000 customers in Kawerau this morning.
Horizon Networks said in a press release that power supply had been cut to 902 customers at 5.30am.
They progressively restored supply through the morning and by 8:00 am had
restored power to 716 customers.
As of 10:15 only 3 customers were without power and Horizon Networks expected to have power restored by 3:00 pm.
They apologised for the inconvenience and advised all customers to contact their retailers in the first instance and to treat all lines as alive at all times.
