Rotorua resident Coral Warner says she was overwhelmed to have met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The avid royal watcher went to Cambridge on Saturday with her daughter Tania Warner and granddaughter Ella Trewavas in the hope to catch a glimpse of Prince William and his wife Catherine.
"We didn't know where we were going or how to get there but we found a parking spot in a little street and decided to walk from there." she said.
Mrs Warner said she has supplementary oxygen to help her breathe and carries a disability card.
"We came up to a street which had been blocked off by police and walked around the barrier, I had the oxygen hose up my nose. The road was completely empty and a police officer saw us, looked at me and said, 'Oh yes, just go through'," Mrs Warner said.
