Live music fans are in for a treat this weekend when three of New Zealand's finest jazz, blues and swing artists will perform in Rotorua.
Malcolm McNeill, Monica Louise and Kevin Watson will feature in the concert Swinging the Blues at the Belgian Bar on Saturday night.
McNeill has made quite a name for himself during the past 30 years of his music career and has an enthusiastic and loyal following in New Zealand and around the world.
Louise has worked in Europe with her own trio as well as performing as guest singer with bands such as Swing Society (part of Dutch Swing College) and Dutch TV big band, The Metropole Orchestra.
Watson was a studio musician based in Wellington for many years and has recorded alongside McNeill with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and many other New Zealand performers and orchestras. He toured and recorded with Midge Marsden for several years before relocating to Hawke's Bay.
Swinging The Blues is described as an intimate interpretation of a timeless and international songbook where swing and jazz meets the blues.
Tickets are $25 on the door or $20 for BOP Blues Club and Rotorua Jazz Club members (with current membership card).
The show starts at the Arawa St bar at 7pm.
