Tickets for the Bayleys National Sevens are selling like hotcakes as Rotorua prepares for a weekend of rugby action.
The two-day tournament is on this Saturday and Sunday at the Rotorua International Stadium and event manager Allison Stewart said she was confident the ground would be full of people enjoying themselves.
Organisers expect around 5000 people each day to enjoy the fast-paced sporting event.
"Ticket sales are going really well, especially as people are now getting back to work and thinking about spending the weekend up at the stadium," Mrs Stewart said.
"We encourage people to buy their tickets in advance as then you don't have to queue to buy at the gate. If you've come to watch a game that kicks off at 12.20pm you don't want to be standing in the queue. These matches are only 10 minutes - you don't want to miss them. It's easy to get your tickets, there's good parking at the Convention Centre."
