Rotorua police are asking for help in identifying a man who robbed a Rotorua taxi driver at knifepoint this week.
The incident occurred about 12.30am on Tuesday in the area of Elmslie Pl, Owhata.
The taxi driver managed to get out of the vehicle and call police and the offender ran off with a bag of coins.
He is described as a fair skinned Maori with a solid build. He is likely in his 20s and was wearing a black and grey hoodie, black track pants and white shoes.
