Street View: Do you like the council's plan to lure Aucklanders to Rotorua to live and work?
I'm not too sure. I've been here 21 years and have seen a lot of changes. I suppose it's a good idea and I'm happy with the city. But, aren't they coming down here anyway?

I don't mind the idea, it's a little bit of forward thinking. But, I think the council needs to sort out issues like the inner city cycleway first. It's a good initiative, I'd support it.

I'm one of them. I came down from up those ways to work on a dairy farm. I'm an engineer by trade, but I love the lifestyle here because it's a real rat-race up there. The people here are great.

It depends on what happens, they could drive the housing prices up. Are there enough jobs for them here? The council would have to create more industries for them to work in.

Yes and no. I think we are getting far too many outsiders here already. But, I don't blame them if they want to move here, the traffic in Auckland would drive you mad.
