Stop the Hate: Andrew Papas' message

Andrew Papas makes up one sixth of New Zealand boy band Titanium. The popular band has had a No1 single with Come on Home, which reached platinum status, and has undertaken a successful national tour. Andrew has also performed alongside international pop stars Hot Chelle Rae and Cher Lloyd. He joins our anti-bullying campaign Stop The Hate by speaking out against bullying:

I'm completely against it. It's wrong and shouldn't be happening.

Because of doing singing all my life I've always been bullied and it wasn't fun.

It was only when I got to college that I had the maturity to think and stop taking crap from people.

We need to start standing up to bullies because a lot of people are getting hurt and if they aren't strong enough to handle it or have the right support then that could lead to bigger problems.

Andrew's message to bullies:

They need to stop! They need to think about what they are doing and how it's affecting the people they are doing it to.

Do they really want to be the cause of hurting someone or even causing someone to commit suicide?

But at the same time they need to get help themselves because clearly there must be something wrong if they feel they can treat other people like that.
