This year's Rotorua Blues Festival is set to be one to remember.
The annual festival, presented by the Bay of Plenty Blues Club, will run from May 28 to June 2, featuring performances by popular musicians Shaun Kirk, Ralph Bennett-Eades, Mike Garner and others. The festival will feature a range of performances, including free live entertainment at Eat Streat from midday onwards on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival. The headlining acts hail from Australia. One is Shaun Kirk, a one-man band. The other is Andy Phillips and The Cadillac Walk, a three-piece Southern Texas blues band.
Also returning to the festival is Nelson musician Ralph Bennett-Eades and Mike Garner and his band. The Lakeland Queen will host two shows, one featuring Kirk supported by Wellington duo Carol Bean and Ray Ahipene Mercer, and the other featuring Cadillac Walk and Bennett-Eades.
